The Dragon Has Landed

An unprecedented public exhibition of the SpaceX Dragon capsule just concluded at the Air Force Space & Missile History Center. The spacecraft was located in a picnic area between the History Center and the SpaceX Launch Control Center.

Below are photographs I shot of the Dragon. Click on the signs to see the image at full-size and read the sign.

  1. Awesome pictures! Thank you for getting such detail.

The tiles surrounding the maneuvering engines (photo #13), look like the half assed work my ex-sheetrocker did before I fired him.

I could have cut them with more grace. If not, I would have re-cut them.

  2. Many thanks for those pictures. Not too bad a condition! IIRC Elon was very happy with the way the capsule stood up to re-entry. So much so that they might shave a little off the thermal insulation for the next!
